Data Integrity

The integrity of your data is only as reliable as the users who enter the data.  Developing well-documented SOPs and providing routine training is strongly recommended.

Routine monitoring of the Recent Activity log (located on the home screen) as well as the Audit logs within some modules will allow you to monitor whether users are properly entering and/or modifying data according to your procedures.  This is also an opportunity to identify those users that may be experiencing difficulty and who may require further training and/or supervision.

The Data Audit log (currently only available in the Animals module) can also be used to identify user entry errors, such as animals that are missing locations, those that have duplicate final dispositions, and if the Medical module is enabled, a list of future procedures in which the Scheduled field was not checked.
